This is one of our TENDERS (at Station Two, Dean Street). This vehicle is responsible for shuttling water to fires outside of the city limits. It carries 3,000 gallons of water. At the scene of a rural fire we would set up a portable tank next to an Engine and dump the water from this vehicle into that tank. The Tender would then proceed to a fill site for more water and repeat the process until the fire was extinguished. A second Tender is housed at Station 1. |
This is one of our BRUSH TRUCKS. The primary purpose of this vehicle is to extinguish brush and field fires. These types of fires are usually in areas that we would not be able to acces with an Engine. One of these units is housed at each station. |
