LOCK BOX PROGRAM

Residential

The safety of Woodstock residents and their access to emergency assistance is important to us. This is why we offer the Residential Lock Box Program. The boxes are installed outside of the home near the front door with the spare key to the home locked securely inside.   In the event of an emergency, fire department personnel will be able to gain access to your home without having to force entry, avoiding expensive repairs. The boxes are specifically keyed for the Woodstock Fire/Rescue District; only fire personnel can open the lock box. If you are interested in purchasing a lock box, complete the form below. Prices for residential lock boxes start at $55.

A district representative will contact the homeowner to schedule a time for lock box delivery and will approve a location for installation of the box (the homeowner is responsible for installation). Once installed the homeowner notifies the Bureau to schedule a time to secure the spare key inside the lock box. Questions can be directed to prevention@wfrd.org.

Commercial Structure

The Woodstock Fire/Rescue District requires all commercial structures equipped with automatic sprinkler or fire alarm systems to install and maintain a lock box in the event of an emergency at your facility. The only authorized lock box that is allowed and accessible by the Woodstock Fire/Rescue District is the Kidde 2 HS Supra Safe lock box. No other brands or types of lock boxes are allowed.

To obtain a lock box, please fill out our online form below. Prices for commercial lock boxes start at $214. Once ordered the lock box will ship to the fire department. A district representative will contact the business owner to schedule a time for lock box delivery and will approve a location for installation of the lock box (the business owner is responsible for installation).  Once installed, the business owner notifies the Bureau to schedule a time to secure the spare key inside the lock box via prevention@wfrd.org.
