Resident of the fire protection district. (70 ILCS 705/4a)
No person is eligible to serve on the board of any fire protection district if that person has been convicted of a felony under the laws of this State or comparable laws of any other state or the United States or is in arrears in the payment of a tax or other indebtedness due to a fire protection district. (70 ILCS 705/10.1).
Fire Protection District (SBE Form P-4-2).
At least 25 voters or 5% of the voters, whichever is less, residing within the district. (70 ILCS 705/4a)
Filed with the nominating petitions. Nonpartisan (SBE Form P-1A).
(Optional) Filed with the nominating petitions. (SBE Form P-1C).
Filed with the county clerk of the county in which the principal office of the unit of local government with which the person is associated is located (See page 19 of the State of Illinois Candidate’s Guide regarding the filing of the receipt). (5 ILCS 420/4A-106)
(Voluntary) Filed with the State Board of Elections or the county clerk.
