CADET OPPORTUNITIES
The Woodstock Fire/Rescue District is a combination department, employing both full-time and part-time firefighter/paramedic/EMT's.
In order to be considered for cadet, applicants must be a licensed EMT or paramedic in good standing with the State of Illinois. National Registry Paramedics may apply for employment but will be required to obtain Illinois licensure prior to beginning employment. Cadets must also be able to attend the Basic Operations Firefighter Class.

As a member of the WFRD Cadet Program, you will gain an understanding of the field of firefighting as a whole, and experience the day-to-day life of a firefighter/paramedic. Cadets are allowed to train with firefighters, and ride along as an observer on incident calls.
