Decennial Committee

In June of 2022, Governor Pritzker signed the Decennial Committee on Local Government Efficiency Act (50 ILCS 70/1-99) into law. This act mandates that local governmental agencies (or most entities that levy taxes) convene a committee to study local efficiencies and help create a report for the District with any potential recommendations for improving your local government’s efficiency.

The committee is required to meet at least three times and follow the Open Meetings Act.
