Fleet Maintenance

The Woodstock Fire/Rescue District is very fortunate to have a full-time, in-house, certified Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT). Mike Shannon has developed an efficient system that provides equipment, supplies, and repairs that supports our apparatus fleet and support vehicles. Mike is also a Woodstock Fire Investigator and Team Leader for MABAS 5 Mechanics.

The Fleet Maintenance facility, located next door to our Station #1 on East Judd Street, is capable of facilitating preventative and emergency needs to the nearly two dozen vehicles in the District. 

Fleet Maintenance provides various operational functions including:

  • Preventative maintenance and service scheduling

  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records

  • Purchasing and maintaining up-to-date tools and equipment

  • Fire pump and apparatus maintenance

  • Teaching new hires basic operations and daily checks required for all apparatus.

Mechanic Shannon completed 987 work orders in 2024!
